“CODEPINK - what is this strange name?” people ask.

It’s only as strange as G. W. Bush Administration's color-coded homeland security alerts — yellow, orange, red — that signaled terrorist threats as they were announced after 9/11.

Our name was a feisty call for people to "wage peace."

And we’ve been doing that for almost 20 years.

In a nutshell, we are a women-run anti-imperialist social justice organization dedicated to ending all end U.S.-funded wars and occupations, and to challenging militarism.

We do a lot with a little, and you can see a list of campaigns we’re working on here.
