Peace in Ukraine Is Not Unattainable But We Have to Demand It
If we want the bloodshed in Ukraine to stop, we have to admit that what we need is a peace deal - not further destruction of the country
Since the war in Ukraine started, we have seen the general anti-war voice weaken. Suddenly, it wasn’t as loud anymore. Nor as brave.
In the fog of war, demands for weapons - and silence on the need for negotiations - seem like the reasonable thing to do if one wants to help the people of Ukraine.
Yet if we really do, wouldn’t that be wishing for the war to end?
For the atrocities to stop?
For the destruction to cease?
“Everyone’s anti-war until the war propaganda starts”, tweeted Caitlin Johnstone.
Together, we have to see through that propaganda. We have to reject the attempts of the powerful to use our compassion and empathy against us.
Instead of an endless war in Ukraine that is taking more lives every day, we demand negotiations.
Instead of further enriching weapons manufacturers, we say this war has to end.
The answer to war is not more war; the answer to war is peace.
Join us demanding exactly that.

There is no “we” without our peacemakers - thank you for being one!
